Well, no outages for House of Hepworths since I implemented caching last night. I really don’t think there is a reason to knock on wood, though. In addition to the site staying up, the speed of the site has tremendously increased as well. Check out the difference before and after. In my post about speeding up your blog I mentioned how the speed to load my wife’s blog was many times slow, sometimes taking over 10 seconds. Check out the graph from when I first started monitoring my wife’s blog via uptimerobot:
On this graph, the peaks were close to 3 seconds. Sometimes, though, it would get as high as 10 or 15 seconds. Check out the graph of the last 24 hours:
The peaks now are 500-600 miliseconds. Wow, what a big difference caching has made.
